Our project is to develop a diagnostic chip for improved detection of cervical cancer. This research programme uses state-of-the-art approaches and technology including proteomics and nanotechnology and its key strength is the close collaborations and interactions between the scientists and clinicians with Cerviva.
Our aim is to construct a diagnostic device that can then be deployed across Ireland to ensure more effective screening of cervical cancer in Irish women leading to earlier detection and improved management of this disease.
We are also involved in a closely related project, called MicroActive.
